In Pythagoras Theorem ,First we need a right angled triangle. Then by using Pythagoras theorem we can find any of the sides of the triangle.For this we have to apply a formula

If ABCD is a right angled triangle then let hypotenuse be AB then, AC square+BC square will be equal to AB square.
