According to Newton's 2nd law, the rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to net force and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.

the rate of change of momentum of a body is directly proportional to the force applied and it takes place in which the force acts.

Rate of change of momentum of a body an be obtained by dividing the change in momentum by the time taken for the change.
