The Durg-Bastar-Chandrapur belt comprises of high grade haematite iroh-ore. This high qualify iron-ore is suitable for steel making. This iron-ore is exported to Japan and South-lsora from the Yishakhapatnam port. Therefore the Durg-Bastar-Chandrapur belt that lies in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra is very important for India.
