The identity used in (i) is 2sin x = 1-cos2x

And in (ii) tan2x = (1 - cos 2x)/(sin2x)

For proof of this identity simplify 1-cos2x = 2sin²x and sin 2x=2sin x cos x

siddhartharao77: root 1-cosx/2
1RADHIKAA1: so tht should be 1-cos2x/2 ?? na
siddhartharao77: No.
1RADHIKAA1: hm
1RADHIKAA1: but tht was the right formula
1RADHIKAA1: sin²A = 1-cos2A/2
mysticd: sin² A/2 = ( 1 - cos A ) /2
siddhartharao77: :-)
1RADHIKAA1: ok
