Plz explain the summary of sapno kaise din in english (very short is enough).....pls...help me.

Gurdial Singh tells about his childhood days in Sapno Ke Se Din. He and his friends used to play in the dirt, tear their clothes and get cuts and bruises. When they went home they were beaten up for all this. Inspite of the beating they used to go out and play again.

Then he tells that they did not like to go to school and the parents did not object if they didn't. The author was the first one in his family to go to school and receive education. His parents spent only Rs. 1 - 2 per year on his education. He used to get second hand books from his friendly teacher, Sharmaji.

The author loved to go to school because he loved scouting. He used to spend his holidays at his grandmother's house.
