where s is the half of sum of all three sides and a,b and c is the side of triangle

this formula is used to calculate any triangles area either it could be equilateral or any other

Here two formula is applied

Heron's forumla for triangles area

and one is area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height .

here we have to find

the area of two triangle by Heron's formula

which is

s = a + b + c / 2 (a,b,c are sides of triangle )

s(s-a)+(s-b)+(s-c)

or by

area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

and then we have to find area of rectangle

which is

area of rectangle = lenght × breadth.

then we have to add both area of triangle and area of rectangle

note : this formula is applied when height of trapezium is not know to us.
