war or trouble did not break their love or caring affection towards their sister who is suffering from tuberculosis. They worked so hard day and night to pay the hospital bills of their sister Lucia. Their selfless attitude says that they didn't do anything for themselves. they are sincere and devoted they didn't complain of doing any kind of selfless works such has polishing shoes, selling newspaper and etc such that they could pay the bills. this develops a respect for them. the two boys are  true symbol of human resilence and love, very much needed for the society
