These lines are from Satayajit Ray’s book the Best of Satyajit – Patol Babu Film Star. Patol Babu lived in Calcutta and worked in a company. He lost his 9-year-old job because of the war. He sought several jobs and companies, but lost. His cousin gave him an offer to join his scrap iron business.
Nichikanto Ghosh, Patol’s neighbour was one morning visiting Patol Babu, telling him that a short bald-headed man about fifty years of age was needed by his brother-in-law, Naresh Dutt who was working at the film business. He gave him the name of Patol. Patol accepted the role of a pedestrian's Next morning, Patol reached Faraday House where he shooting as taking place his heart trembling with nervousness
EXPLANATION:
- Patol Babu found there was an immense crowd when he entered Faraday Hall. There were three-four cars with all the machinery and equipment on the top of the bus. An instrument with three legs stood on the edge of the stage.
- A group of men surrounded the instrument, perhaps, setting up the instrument. Another device was positioned near the entrance. It had 3 legs, too. It was a pole having a long arm that stretched out from its top and suspended an instrument that looked like an oblong beehive.
