Plz explain.....

We know that burning of natural gases is always a exothermic reaction..means heat is relesed. But the reaction btween N2 + O2 + heat produces 2NO (nitrogen nonoxide)...so in this reaction heat is absorbed which means it is endothermic reaction...
How it is possible...Are nitrogen nd oxygen not natural gases?...

Answer:

in the given case the heat is released because O2 in needed to burn and it is present but other gases absorb heat but in a limited amount and the rest heat is given out and is considered as a exothermic change

hope it would be helpful
