let 2x-3y+7=8

given that x=2 & y=1

substituting the values of x& y we get,

2(2)-3(1)+7=8

2(2)-3(1)+7-8=0

(4-3)-1=0

1-1=0

0=0

as the remainder is 0 thus 2x-3y+7=8 has x=2 ,y=1 as its solution

x+y+4=0

2+1+4=0

but 2+1+4 is 7 which is not=0

thus this equation does not have x=2 y=1 as its solutions
