Explanation

(x - 3)(x - 4) = 34/(33)²

Let, (x - 3) = y

→ x - 4 = x - 3 - 1 = y - 1

→ (x - 3)(x - 4) = y(y - 1)

Now,

y(y - 1) = 34/(33)²

→ y(y - 1) = (33 + 1)/33²

→ y² - y = 33/33² + 1/33²

→ y² - y = 1/33 + 1/33²

→ y² - 1/33² - y - 1/33 = 0

→ (y + 1/33)(y - 1/33) - 1(y + 1/33) = 0

→ (y + 1/33)(y - 1/33 - 1) = 0

→ (y + 1/33)(y - 34/33) = 0

→ y = -1/33

or y = 34/33

Now, substitute value of y as x - 3

→ x - 3 = -1/33

or

x - 3 = 34/33

→ x = -1/33 + 3

or

x = 34/33 + 3

→ x = (-1 + 99)/33

or

x = (34 + 99)/33

→ x = 98/33 or x = 133/33
