1.The Camel was so lazy that whenever anybody spoke to him all he would say was “Humph”. ... With the Humph on his back, the Camel could now work for days without eating. And that's how the Camel got his hump. In the story, Rudyard Kipling brings out the theme of laziness effectively.

2.In this story Camel is very lazy and careless and he doesn’t want to work. He sits in the middle of the desert eating weed and grasses and whenever someone ask Camel for help in work he always replied with ‘’humph’’. When other animals were working and asked camel to help he just replied ‘’humph’’. All animals’ complaint about the camel to the Djinn. When Djinn asked camel to go and help other in the work again he replied with humph. Djinn warned camel if you will say again humph something bad will happen. As camel said humph he got a big humph on his back.

3.The camel got his hump when the Djinn cursed him with a burden on its back as it had refused to work..

4.The Djnn was the boss (or) master of the desert . He knows whatever happens in the desert .The Djinn decided to punish the Camel he cast a spell on the Camel and a big humph emerged on the Camel's back. The food is stored in the humph so camel can work for 3-4 days without eating. The Djinn said to Camel that if he complete his work then the humph will disappear
