2:wave movement, P waves travel through any kind of material, whether it is a solid, liquid or gas. On the other hand, S waves only move through solids and are stopped by liquids and gases.

1.difference between the Moho discontinuity & Gutenberg discontinuity.

●Moho discontinuity marks the boundary between the upper mantle & the crust while the Gutenberg discontinuity marks the boundary between the lower mentle & outer core.

2.Difference between the P-waves & C- Waves.

●P-Waves are much faster than the S-Waves & they can pass through any medium but S-Waves can't pass through a liquid medium.

3. Name of the 2 layers of the lithosphere.

●It includes crust & uppermost Mantle

4. 'SIAL' float on the 'SIMA' ?

●because the lower portion of the earth is composed of SIMA.The SIAL is much lighter than the SIMA, that's why the SIAL Floats over SIMA layer, SIAL is said to be continental crust & SIMA is called oceanic crust.

7. Asthenosphere :-

●The upper layer of the earth's mantle, below the lithosphere, in which there is relatively low resistance to plastic flow & convection is through to occur.
