Here is your answer
a) Less reactive metals include
Cu, Mn, Ag, Au, Pt etc.
Their oxides like
CuO, MnO, Ag2O and so on.. can be reduced by using C (carbon in form of coke) as carbon has more affinity than these elements towards oxygen.
In case of metals these less reactive metals can be reduced by high reactive metals like Sodium, Potassium, Calcium.
Exa- CuO+2Na-> Na2O + Cu
b) Moderate reactive metals include
Zn, Fe, Ni, Sn, Pb etc.
Their oxides like
ZnO, Fe2O3 and so on... can be reduced by using C (carbon in form of coke) as carbon has more affinity than these elements.
In case of metals these moderate reactive metals can be reduced by using high reactive metals like Sodium, Potassium and Calcium
Exa- ZnO+2 K -> K2O + Zn
c) Highly reactive metals include
K, Na, Ca, Mg, Al, etc.
Their oxides like
K2O, Na2O, CaO and so on.. can't be reduced by any metal.
