let the addition of ages of father-mother be x.
and thr addition of ages of their two daughters be y.
so,
(x-4) + (y-4) = 40 =>> x+y =48
we need to find ,(x+6)+(y+6) = ?
so,x+y+12 = 48+12 = 60 years..
