1.  Ranji discovered the pool in Rajpur. The pool water had a gentle translucency and smooth round pebbles could be seen at the bottom of the pool.

2.The Duck feels sorry for himself as his own life is a bore in the nasty pond. The Duck wishes if he could hop like the Kangaroo and would go out in the world beyond. So, he requests the Kangaroo for a ride in it's back.

3.Jody knew that the fawn was a male because the spots on its body were all in a line. His father had told him that on the body of a doe-fawn, the spots are in different directions.
