similarly, x°+83°+72°+104°=360°

x°=360-(83°+72°+104°)

x°=360°-259

=101°

(2) in the figure x° and 120° form a linear pair.

so, x°+120°=180°

x°=180°-120°

=60°

now according to the figure we know that the two opposite interior angles of a triangle = the exterior angle of the triangle

so, y°+80°=120°

y°=120°-80°=40°
