In other words, a closed circuit has a complete path for current to flow, whereas an open circuit doesn't, which means that it's not functional. Any circuit which is not complete is considered an open circuit. ... For example, a circuit connected to a dead battery may not perform any work, but it is still a closed circuit.

Answer:

OPEN CIRCUIT :-

➡️An open circuit is a circuit where the path has been interrupted or "opened" at some point so that current will not flow.

➡️An open circuit is also called an incomplete circuit.

➡️The common electrical industry terminology would be to say that the circuit breaker or fuse "opened" or tripped the circuit.

➡️Electrons move randomly.

➡️ An example of an open circuit - is a string of electric lights that don't work if one bulb goes out.

CLOSED CIRCUIT :-

➡️The definition of closed circuit is a system where video or other media is transmitted through connected cables and wires, not through the air.

➡️A closed circuit is one that is complete, with good continuity throughout.

➡️A device designed to open or close a circuit under controlled conditions is called a switch.

➡️Electrons move in opposite direction of current.

➡️An example of closed circuit - When you have a video camera directly connected to a TV on the property that shows images from the video camera, this is an example of a closed-circuit TV.
