Yes i completely agree with this statement. As the country of France was divided into there eatates - Clergy Nobility and Third Estate. While the third estate made up the 90% of the population, They were only forced to pay the taxes to government in addition to taxes like Tithes and Taile. Clergy amd nObility didn't pay the taxes. Finally the philosophers inspired the people about the situation that they are being exploited which ultimately later lead to the French Revolution.
