Pulses is one of the rabi crops and rabi crops are grown in winter season between October to December so pulses wants high humidity containing area but it doesn't want wet area to grow and pulses plants doesn't have a much water holding capacity and because of it pulses can't grow in wet area that's why it grow well in the places where there is less rainfall.
