1.) sum of -6 and 13

= (-6) + 13 = 7

let the no. that would be added to the sum of -6 and 13 = x

7 + x = 0

x = -7

so -7 would be added to the sum of -6 and 13

2.) difference of -3 and -4

= -3-(-4) = -3+4=7

sum of -3 and -4

= -3+(-4) =-7

7+(-7) = 0
