Let the weights of diamond's pieces be 2a, 3a and 4a

Total weight of diamond = 2a + 3a + 4a = 9a

Total price of diamond = ( 9a)^2 = 81a^2

=> 81a^2 = 162000

=> a^2 = 2000

Now,

Price of first piece = (2a)^2 = 4a^2

Price of second piece = (3a)^2 = 9a^2

Price of third piece = (4a)^2 = 16a^2

Total price of 3 pieces = ( 4a^2 + 9a^2 + 16a^2) = 29a^2

Loss = 81a^2 - 29a^2

= 52a^2

= 52 × 2000

= Rs 104000
