(i)

(4\sqrt{3\\}\\ + 7\sqrt{2}) + (\sqrt{3\\}\\  - 5\sqrt{2})

= 4\sqrt{3\\}\\+(1) \sqrt{3\\}\\  + 7\sqrt{2} - 5\sqrt{2}

=5\sqrt{3\\}\\ + 2\sqrt{2}

(ii)

(\sqrt{5} + 2\sqrt{3}) + (2\sqrt{5} - 5\sqrt{3})

= (1)\sqrt{5} + 2\sqrt{5} - 5\sqrt{3} + 2\sqrt{3}

= 3\sqrt{5} - 3\sqrt{3} or 3(\sqrt{5} - \sqrt{3})
