Q21a) The given figure shows the relative concentration of some molecules inside and outside the cell.


i) Based on the distribution of these molecules, mention the direction of movement of the


following through the cell membrane-

1) Oxygen 2) Carbon dioxide


ii) Name the process involved in the above movement.

1) If a molecule is very small such as oxygen or carbon dioxide diffusion takes place when the concentration of oxygen outside the cell is higher than carbon dioxide which is inside the cell then the oxygen molecule diffuses with carbon dioxide very easily
