/_ 1 = 2x + y
/_ 4 = x + 2y
/_ 6 = 2y + 20
Now,
/_1 = /_4 .........(vertically opposite)
2x + y = x + 2y
2x - x = 2y - y
x = y ............(1)
And,
/_4 + /_6 = 180° ........(supplementary Angles)
x + 2y + 2y + 20 = 180
x + 4y = 180 - 20
x + 4y = 160
y + 4y = 160 ........(from 1, x = y)
5y = 160
y = 160/5
y = 32
x = 32
Now,
/_6 = 2y + 20
= 2(32) + 20
= 64 + 20
= 84°
So,
/_6 = /_7 .........( vertically opposite)
/_7 = 84°
And,
/_6 + /_8 = 180° .........(the form a straight line)
84 + /_8 = 180
/_8 = 180 - 84
/_8 = 96°
Hence,
/_7 = 84°
/_8 = 96°
