plz help .... find the value of k if x-1is a factor of p (x)in each of the following cases below
1 . p(x)=kx2 - root 2x+1
the 2 indicates that it is the starting of next question it may be confusing if written together
2. p(x)=kx2-3x+k

1.p(x) =kx2 -√2x+1=0

p(1) =k(1)2-√2(1) +1=0

=k-√2+1=0

k=0+√2-1

(k=√2-1)

2.p(x)=kx2-3x+k

p(1)=k(1)2-3(1)+k=0

=2k-3=0

2k=0+3

=(k=3/2)
