resistance when they are connected in series=24 ohm

we know V=IR(ohms law)

here V=3V

so V/R=I

3/24=I

so I=1/8Amphere

we now P=VI

3*1/8=3/8watt

when its in parrell

so total resistance =6 ohm

so here power can also be written as V^2/R

here V=3 volt

so power= 3*3/6=9/6=3/2 watt

here ratio is required

so 3/8/3/2 we get 4:1
