In a Maths exam worth 80 marks, 11 marks are allocated to Number, 34 marks are
allocated to Algebra, 23 marks are allocated to Shape and 12 marks are allocated to
Data Handling. Work out the percentage allocated to each topic (round the answers
off to the nearest percent) and add these up. Why is the total more than 100%?

Answer:

your answer is here

Step-by-step explanation:

total marks = 80

11 marks allocated to number 13.75 %

34 marks allocated to algebra 42.5%

23 marks allocated to shape 28.75%

12 marks allocated to data handling 15%

add the allocated marks

11 + 34 + 23 + 12 = 80

not more than 100 % it is accurately 100%

also add their percentage

13.75 % + 42.5% + 28.75% + 15% = 100%

not more than 100% it is accurately 100%

I hope this answer will help you.
