question -

Baking soda is a basic substance but doesn't taste bitter. Why?

answer -

Baking soda is basic in nature thus it tastes bitter, but to change its taste, its neutralized by adding tartaric acid to it. By which baking powder is formed.

#hope it helps..!!

Nancy2468: But, when tartaric acid is added to baking soda then it become backing powder.
aishowrya: question is wrong ^^" baking soda tastes bitter for which it isnt used as baking powder, as its a base it needs to be neutralized with some acid

Answer:

hi sorry I am answering here

Explanation:

I saw your last question and I am very interested to tell you the correct reason behind bending of light,

At atomic level light always travel with a constant speed irrespective of the medium. when it hits an electron of a atom, that electron absorbs it energy and go in a higher shell or orbit. it becomes little bit unstable and emit the light. At large scale we see that when light enters in a dense medium through a rare medium it bends towards the normal. but it's speed remains constant we see like it is changing it's speed but it is not. it is just a phenomena of reabsorption and reemitition of light.

hope you understand the concept of refraction in a much better way.

tell your friends . nobody know this.
