Pre-Req Knowledge:

- Linear Pair Axiom

- Property of Vertically Opposite Angles

Solution:

Q.9

- ang POR= 50 deg, PQ and RS are two lines intersecting at O [given]

Therefore by Linear pair axiom, ang POS + ang POR = 180

=> ang POS + 50 deg = 180 deg

=> ang POS = 130 deg

We know that the Vertically Opposite Angles are always equal,

Therefore, ang POR = ang QOS = 50 deg

and, ang POS = ang QOR = 130 deg

Q.10

x= 45 deg, p and r are two lines intersecting at O [given]

Therefore by Linear pair axiom, x + u = 180

=> 45 + u = 180 deg

=> u = 135 deg

We know that the Vertically Opposite Angles are always equal,

Therefore, x = z = 45 deg

and, u = y = 135 deg
