  • 1) Becoz it has high melting point. So it doesn't melts on high volt electricity and heat.
  • 2) Becoz energy in filament is wasted in form of heat.
  • 3) So it don't reat and gives shiny efect.
  • 4) The core of the transformer is laminated to reduce energy loss due to eddy currents because induction is reduced by laminating.
