Answer:

Given that ;

Diagonals of a Rhombus

In the Ratio = 3 : 4

Longer Diagonal = 12cm

Let

The Other Diagonal be x

3 : 4 = x : 12

3 / 4 = x / 12

Cross Multiplication :

3 × 12 = 4 × x

36 = 4x

x = 36 / 4

x = 9cm

Checking ;

Ratio :

9 : 12

3 : 4

Area of the Rhombus = 1 / 2 × Diagonal 1 × Diagonal 2

A = 1 / 2 d1 d2

A = 1 / 2 × 9 × 12

A = 9 × 6

A = 54

Hence ;

Area of the Rhombus ( A ) = 54cm²
