1 the poet stood on the initial point of 2 diverging roads .

2 the poet stood there for a long time because he couldn't decide where to go

3 in autumn the leaves of certain trees and their branches too become yellow making the trees look yellow in colour and the leaves also shed off hence the poet calls the forest a yellow wood .

4 the poet reached on the diversion of two roads

a. He was standing at a point where the road divides into two lanes.He could see the undergrowth in one of the lane and the other was full of dried leaves.

b.The poet stood there for long because he was confuse about which road to take.

c.The poet described the forest as yellow because it was the tine of autumn.

d.While walking through a forest the poet comes across a point where the road forks into two.
