Using energy from ATP.

Material like sucrose is transferred into phloem tissue with the help of ATP.

This increases the osmotic pressure of the tissue causing water to flow into it.
This is what is active transport(movement using energy)

This moves the food to the regions of low pressure and according to plant's needs.
For ex,in spring the food stored in fruits is transferred to buds.
