a) if we find the area of that rectangle

then, L×B=3×5=15 cm

and as we know that opposite sides are equal in rectangle therefore base of the triangle would be 3cm and if subtract the length of rectangle from 8cm then we will get the height of triangle=8cm-5cm=3cm

area of triangle=1/2×b×h

1/2×3×3=9/2=4.5cm

hence area of total figure=15+4.5=19.5cm

b)area of parallelogram=base×height

18×6=108cm
