(ii) ar sq. ABCD = Side x Side = 47 cm^2
= Side^2 = 47 cm^2
= Side = √47 = AB = BC = AD = CD
ar sq. GDEF,
= side^2 = 34 cm^2
= side = √34 = GD = DE = EF = GF
In ∆ ADG,.
AD^2 + GD^2 = AG ^2 ( Pythagoras theorem)
AD = √47, GD = √34
= (√47)^2 + (√34)^2 = AG^2
= 47 + 34 = AG^2
= 81 = AG^2
AG = 9 cm
Area sq. AGHI ,
Side x Side = AG x AG = 9 x 9 = 81 cm^2
(iv) ar square ABCD
= Side^2 = 1369
= Side = 37 cm = DC
Similarly,
Ar sq. ECGF
= 144 = Side^2
= Side = 12 cm = EC
In ∆ DEC,
EC^2 + DE^2 = DC^2
(12)^2 + DE^2 = (37)^2
DE^2 = 1369 - 144
DE^2 = 1225
DE = 35 cm
Area sq IDEH,
Side^2 = DE^2 = 1225 cm^2
= Side^2 = 47 cm^2
