Florida has a large number of underwater caves because the rainwater, which is slightly acidic, seeps and dissolves into the limestone bedrock. Due to this, chemical reactions end up creating both caverns and sinkholes. Then, due to the high water table in Florida, they get flooded quite often.
A way that we can take advantage of these cave systems is actually quite simple. We can easily use these caves to train some people for scuba diving, as well as simply exploring them for further research.
