On the outskirts of the national capital, a small village was located. The people in the village did not have much resources and their basic means of livelyhood was selling things like tobacco, alcohol etc.
Among these villagers, there was a boy named Chandu Lal. He was a poor fellow but he never wanted to be like other villagers. Chandu was a matric pass. his father died when he was 7. since then, his mother looked after him and his 3 brothers.
one day, Chandu decided to go to delhi and help his family financially as his mother was sick and old. He left for Delhi the very next day. All the villagers suggested that it was a bad idea, but Chandu was determined. He left for delhi by the morning bus and reached there by early morning the next day.
Chandu, who was willing to work, went to many places in the city to get a job but was rejected every where he went. He was all alone in the big city with very little money left with him. He had no shelter and very little food to eat. At night, Chandu managed to spend the night at the bus stop. It was very cold.
The next morning, he went to look for work again but still, no avail. Disappointed, he sat down thinking about his family when a man came and asked " you want to work? I can help u" chandu jumped with joy. he agreed to the man and thanked him. The man took Chandu and made him work as a rikshaw puller and gave him wages accordingly. Chandu got settled in the city and now waits to see his family again. He hopes that there will be a day when he gets back home to see his family and friends again and live a happy life.
