Let us assume that 1/rootx =a and 1/rooty=b

so

2a+3b=2

4a-9b=-1

by multiplying the equation (l)by 3 we get

6a+9b=6

by adding equations (ll)&(lll) we get

10a=5

a=1/2

b=1/3

1/rootx=1/2

rootx=2

x=4

1/rooty =1/3

rooty=3

y=9
