Answer is 31

Sudhir is 5th top student in the class. If the ranks are swapped then Arun will be the 5th top student in the class. Also, post swapping the ranks if Arun is 27th student from the bottom. But since Arun is alos 5th top thus there are 4 students ahead of him.

Thus, total studens in class is 27 + 4 = 31
