12. Satyagraha is a policy of passive political resistance, especially that advocated by Mahatma Gandhi against British rule in India.

13. The main demand of the peasants was to not to pay the taxes. Gandhiji supported the peasants and organised Satyagraha. This movement became successful as the Bristishers removed the taxes for one year.
