Differences between Early and later Vedic ages:

• During the early Vedic age, the Rig Veda was compiled. Hence, this age is also known as Rig Vedic age.

• Meanwhile, the other Vedas were compiled during later Vedic age.

• The caste system during early Vedic age was based on occupation meanwhile the caste system divided the society during later Vedic age.

• Women during early Vedic age enjoyed some privileges but women during later Vedic age lacked those privileges.

• The major gods of early Vedic age were Surya, Varuna, Agni and Soma. Meanwhile, the major gods of later Vedic age were Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

• Sabha and Samiti assisted Rajan in early Vedic age but they lost importance in later Vedic age.

• King/Rajan was had no authority in early Vedic age but he became monarch in later Vedic age.
