P alone can do 1/2 of a work in 6 days and Q alone can do 2/3 of the same work in 4 days . in how many days working together will they finish 3/4 of the work.​

q= 2/3. 4

p+q=1/2+2/3. 6+4

=7/6. 10

7/6-3/4

=>14/12-9/12

5/12

5/12=7days

14/12-5/12=9/12

10days-7days=3days

they will finish 3/4 of the work in 3days

3)together will they finish 3/4 of the work.

P= 1/2 = 6

Q = 2/3 =4

P+Q=3/4

(...........1/2+2/3=7/6...... in ten days)

7/6-3/4= 5/12

now

7/6-5/12=14/12-5/12=9/12=3/4

that means

5/12 work is done in 7 days

therefore

10days - 7day = 3days

7/6 - 5/12 = 3/4

hence in 3 days finish 3/4 of the work..
