Answer 2 Points of trisection are those points which divide a line segment AB in the ratio of 1:2 or 2:1.

From the formula - The point which divides a line segment AB in the ratio m:n is given by [(mx₂+nx₁)/(m+n),(my₂+ny₁)/(m+n)] whre A=(x₁,y₁),B=(x₂,y₂)

Accordingly;

the points of trisection are [(1*-6+2*-3)/3,(1*-8+2*-5)/3] and

[(2*-6+1*-3)/3,(2*-8+1*-5)/3]

implies (-4,-6) and (-5,-7) are the points required
