Explanation:

1.A) if you keep it in the refrigerator the ice will not melt because the thermal energy will not emitt the ice cube and the temperature will be remained constant through out.

B) if you keep outside the refrigerator the temperature is decreased because the any kind of energy is used to transfer from the lower sink to upper sink the cubes will start melting heat is used to transfer through the ice cubes and used to transfer the energy to it.

2. The ice cube will change its state from solid state to liquid state because of the temperature difference the ice cubes starts melting by that the ice will liquidised and it may turn into liquid or gaseous form and vapourized. When you keep it in a refrigerator it acts as a regenerator and keeps the ice cubes on the desired temperature by this the cubes will not be melted.
