 Given \: Total \: questions \:attempted = 50

 Let \: number \: of \: questions \:attempted

 correctly = x

 number \: of \: questions \:attempted

 incorrectly = (60-x)

 Number \: marks \: allotted \: each \: correct

 answer = 3

 Number \: marks \: loses \:for \: each /tex]</p><p>[tex] incorrect \: answer = 1

 Total \:score = 106 \: (given)

 \implies 3x - 1(10-x) = 106

 \implies 3x - 10 + x = 106

 \implies 4x  = 106 + 10

 \implies 4x  = 116

 \implies x  = \frac{116}{4}

 \implies x = 29

Therefore.,

 \red{number \: of \: questions \:attempted}
