area of the semicircle = 1/2 π r²
= 1/2*22/7*7" 7
= 77
let one side of the rght angle iso trig. be x
2nd side is also x
x² +x²= √7²
2x² = 7
x² = 3.5
x= √3.5
area of a trig. = 1/2* base * height
= 1/2*√3.5*√3.5
= 1/2*3.5
= 1.75

Perimeter of the semi circle = 2pi.r/2
=(2(22/7)7)/2=44cm/2=22cm
Area of the semi circle = 1/2pi.r^2
=1/2*22/7*7*7=77cm^2

Diameter of semi circle = 7*2=14cm=base of the triangle.
Height of triangle = Radius = 7cm
Therefore area of the triangle = 1/2b.h=1/2 * 14 * 7 = 49cm2

Therefore area of the shaded region = 77cm2 - 49cm2 = 28cm2
