why spin angular velocity of star is greatly enhanced when it collapses under gravitational pull and becomes a nuetron star? ​

on collapsing the gravitational pull,the size of the star decreases. so, the movement of inertia also reduces,as angular momentum=l=i*w it conserves and so i decreases therefore the spin angular velocity increases
