EXAMPLE : 9317

see the underlined digits places are even places

∴sum of the digits in even places = 3+7 = 1

sum of the digits in odd placesb= 9+1 = 10

Here both sums are equal so 9317 is divisibleby11

2) 6252 = 6×10^3 + 2×10^2 + 52

809176 = 8 × 10^5+ 0×10 + 9×10^3 + 1×10^2 + 7×10 + 6

20176 = 2×10^4 + 0×10 + 1×10^2 +7×10 ++6×10^0
