Q. Express 0.57 bar into simplest form.

Let 0.57777.......... = x.

By multiplying both sides by 10 ,

⇒ 5.77777777......... = 10x  -------- ( 1 )

Now, by multiplying in ( 1 ) by 10,

⇒ 57.77777......... 100x  ------ ( 2 ).

Now by subtracting ( 1 ) from ( 2 ),

⇒ 57.77777........ - 5.7777777....... = 100x - 10x

⇒ 52 = 90x

⇒ x = 52/90

∴  x = 26/45.

The required answer is 26/45.
